Luke Bryan: Do I Meaning
Song Released: 2009
Do I Lyrics
It feels just like we're always running
Rolling through the motions every day
I could lean in to hold you
Or act like I don't even know you
Seems like you could care less either way
What happened to that girl...

My interpretation comes from the feelings of being involved with or married to an musician. You both have so little time together so the few seconds you do get together your trying to support each other with things that need financially done, checking on your kids and how each other are, they stay connected by phone and when they are together is never for long periods of time. When they are not together they question do they really care, what they say mean, the separation makes them questions everything they believe and mean to one another. Their minds runs overtime and the separation distances them, so the push themselves away to stop the pain and think they just love like this anymore but then the moment they receive phone, text, or other communication from the other it makes every all better again and all their questions do I offer you the same as before with our lives now that this is our life with my career. It comes from someone involved with a musician because your always wrestling with the question can I love them and support them and live the life they live?

What I think: is that the guy is trying to see if the girl he is with, if she still has feelings for him. Do I turn you on at all when I kiss you baby? This line is asking if she is still in love ❤️With him. The guy can’t tell if she still loves him enough. Or if she is still enough for him. The guy wants to know if she is still his girl. Do I have your love? Am I still enough? He is asking her if she is still his one and only love.

I view this a little differently. Luke means this as the opposite of “I do.” He’s questioning whether what he has to offer is good enough. I do is meant as a wedding vow...this is him pleading for that second chance...look at the last verse. He ends by questioning whether he’s going to get that second chance, holding on to the relationship by a thread.

I still am trying to offer out what the song means some one said it was mine and there song and I am trying to figure out what they are trying to say can someone tell me.

This is a magical song, he is asking questions and just wants answers he has second guessed everything and nothing seems to be going right, he is confused and breaking down slowly, he feels second and needs to know the answers DO I?

This song is obviously about a guy that is in a realationship and he doesnt know if she still loves him or not. "do i have your love? am i still enough? tell me dont i, or tell me do i baby" in my opinion this means that he is wondering if he is still good enough for her and if she still loves him. "give you everything that you ever wanted would you rather just turn away and leave me haunted, doo i just need to give up and get on with my life? baby do i?" this line, he means does she really want to walk away and leave him scared and scarred, dont he need to stop chaasing here and move on?... "remember when we didnt have nothin, but a perfect simple kind of lovin, baby those sure were the days, there was a time our love ran wild and free, but now im second guessing everything i see" this is saying that in one point of their realationship they were happy as can be, but now hes wondering about everything he sees.
