Macklemore: Glorious Meaning
Song Released: 2017
Glorious Lyrics
You know I'm back like I never left
Another sprint, another step
Another day, another breath
Been chasing dreams, but I never slept
I got a new attitude and a lease on life
And some peace of mind
Seek and I find I can sleep...

#1 top rated interpretation:I think this song means that do what you can to have a good life and try to make those good times last a while. Even though there are hard times and bad times it's that's life. Without those hard times there wouldn't be any good times. Live life to the fullest. Have a good life and spend times with those you love.

#2 top rated interpretation:"You know I'm back like I never left"
Macklemore says that he is back. That is true: He has only released two tracks since “Wednesday Morning”.It's like a comeback. Macklemore also claims that it seems as if he had never left in the first place, meaning that he is as good as he has been before.
"Another sprint, another step. Another day, another breath"
He's moving forward with making new music, sometimes faster, sometimes slower.
"Been chasing dreams, but I never slept"
He chased his dreams even though he never slept. You can only chase your dreams and make them become reality when you’re awake and work hard.
Also, he uses sleep as a metaphor. He means that he has never rested on his success, but instead has been working harder on his goals.
"I got a new attitude and a lease on life. And some peace of mind"
He believes this point in his career as a fresh start. He split up with producer Ryan Lewis, who he worked with for nine years. He built a studio in his house to be able to make music and take care of his family. -

#3 top rated interpretation:This song makes me think about how this person wants to keep going in what they are doing. They want to keep going, they track their pace and just continue to get through the game of life because in this game you only have one life so we have to make it count. Once you end that life, it’s game over and there is no resetting or going back to change your decisions.

I think this song means how he loves Jesus and gives back to the world because he says "got a chance to start again" which I think means he got baptized and he also says "when I leave here on this earth did I take more than I gave did I do it for the people or did I do it all for fame"
-
Thing song embodies the story of Moses' Death in Deuteronomy, where he dies at Mount Sinai having a final glance at the fruits of his labor. The lyrics "So when I leave here on this earth, did I take more than I gave? Did I do it for the people? Or did I do it all for fame?" tells us how the persona values giving back to the world rather than his self-centered needs.

He's trying to say basically live your life to the fullest and don't quite! BUt I Love this song. THis song is so great and is my favorite song I could just sit down and listen to this song for hours
-
I think that this song is very heartwarming and has a very strong idea. I love the idea of him picking up his grandmother for the day, and doing "it all." It also has an amazing, message
to live your life as long as possible. And feeling "GLORIOUS" while living it! -

I see it as he went through a rough period with drugs and drinking and went to a very low place in his life. He was cheating and generally being an ahole and he made it through that, He went through a very dark time when he couldnt see the dawn, and he is past it and can see the brightness and is happy in his life now and knows he can handle what comes next.
-
Really it is a song about why you do something even though you may stop what you love but you end up coming back to the thing you do because it's who you are. Like for me I do basketball and you think about just giving up but then you find the motivation, the fire again and you feel like you can do anything. However nothing can be achieved without God.
-
I think he is trying to slowly show his faith because he believes in Jesus and wants to make a difference in the world because he knows the world is not our home
-
I think he has faith in afterlife. and he has renewed hope for this life. (not a bible-beater yet, by any stretch, but may be thirsting for something greater than what this world offers) #GODISGOOD (i don't even know what a hashtag means)
-
In my opinion if you actually watch the official video it actually shows a older lady named helen. It also appears that his grandmother was dead.
-
Ths song talks all about when he dies what is going to happen. It talks about his faith.
