So this song is probably about a person missing his current love, the realationship's future is uncertain. The singer is in love, is hoping the object of his love reciprocates. //Now I'm changing, for the better for the day,

    Could see or even feel the ground
    A pot of gold, I was sold,// author is in love and it is good for him to feel it.
