Massive Attack: Angel Meaning
Angel Lyrics
-
This song is mostly, more than anything about nothing, or, more accurately, a total lack of things present. This song most accurately expresses a blank canvas of mind that should be soiled black with layers of experience that all, each, failed to self fulfill. I doubt that any possible creation has ever been so devoid of self-fulfillment as what this song would have you believe, though, I do believe that such an utter lack of personal achievement in the gratification of the one world self mind is more than possible, if not totally achievable in this mind prison we all, most, refer to as the condition that maintains the life we(they, idiots) apply the concept of soul to. Sad, though, considering we all only appear as blankets of light upon the lack of understanding we have (never gonna figure it out. No way.) as to what we're actually made of at the most basic level. This song is useless and that's what makes it so very delicious. I can't say I would pitch a tent on this song. Maybe I just need to hear it on the highway, windows down, loud enough to laugh at 90 mile per hour wind clapping against my window seem and dying in a whirlwind between the outside air and my ear.
