    To me, the song is about a friend that has drifted apart and became someone they're not. They've put themselves on such a high standard of unrealistic life that the singer is begging him to return to the person he/she once was. ("Please come down from that cloud, I hope you see through your big yard and white picket fence, If you don't like the movie, then quit acting).
