Haven't Met You Yet Lyrics

I'm not surprised, not everything lasts
I've broken my heart so many time, I stopped keeping track
Talk myself in, I talk myself out
I get all worked out then I let myself down

I tried so very hard not to lose it
I came up with a million...

They have met, but not properly letting their guard down because of previous hurt in other relationships, once they test the ground and trust builds up they will instinctively know it's right for them and relax knowing they are good for each other.

This is the first single and one of two original songs on Canadian jazz singer Michael Bublé's fourth studio album, Crazy Love. In an interview with the Australian newspaper The Age, Bublé admitted that the song was inspired by his fiancée, the Argentine actress Luisana Lopilato. Said Bublé: "I wrote it because I had met this girl and there was nothing solid about anything of it. She didn't speak English. She had just been in a relationship that was very public for her and so had I (with Emily Blunt). There was every reason to not try to get into this predicament of a relationship, yet I did and it was weird. The song came from that – it was inspired by meeting her. You live on your potential as a single person – it keeps you sane. I'm not saying that you can't be alone and be happy but there's this great way to keep your sanity where it's like you know it's going to happen – you just haven't met them yet."
    SONGFACTS

You turned thirty right? That's your dream right? Getting married at 30? Maybe you haven't met the right girl yet? May you meet the right girl. All the best for those who haven't met them yet.

I think he’s referring for a baby that his wife and him waiting to be born. There’s no doubt that the song is about their baby is yet to be born.

I allways thought that this song would be incredibly bittersweet if it was sung by an old man. Imagine living your whole live for the hope of finding your soul mate? He puts so much emphasis on what finding her is going to do for his life that you get the feeling that actually things are not ok with his life at all.

Honestly, when I first heard the lyrics of this song (without watching the official music video) I thought it had been written for a baby yet to be born... I think the video sort of let me down because it would be much more interesting that way than it is with the actual meaning of the video and the song. But you can always still imagine that it is for a yet-to-be-born-baby, if you don't watch the video...

This song is about him not being able to find his soul mate. He can picture his dream girl but just "hasn't met her yet." He sings about all the times he has been in a relationship but hasn't worked out. Even thou he has not found her yet, he still stays positive and says "where ever you are, when ever it's right, you'll come out of nowhere and into my life." He knows that one day he will find her.

I think he's basically trying to say that he's had his heart broken so many times, but he still has hope for finding the right girl and it will be great, he just hasn't met that girl yet, though.
