Ben Lyrics
Ben, the two of us need look no more,
We've both found what we've been looking for,
With a friend to call my own,
Ill never be alone,
And you my friend you'll see
You've got a friend in me.(You've got a friend in me).
Ben,...

"Ben" If you understand what it's like to be truely alone as a child growing up and constantly feeling rejected you can relate to this song. Many people like Michael did not have a childhood, this is a very damaging experience. If you put yourself in Ben's place he was always running from fear (like the child at school who is quiet, lonely and rejected). Always running hear and there feeling rejected by society, you never get to know anyone and sadly they never get to know you! Knowing inside your soul that you are a good person, the best friend anyone could ever find. If you've known a person like this or are that person, you find yourself constantly running to seek acceptance. The people who are fortunate to know you find that you are the very best friend they might ever know. As you grow up and become an adult the scars of rejetion and loneliness stay with you. When you do find a friend like Ben they never forget you because you have a love and kindness that is exceptional but hidden from the world. This type of love and kindness also leaves you vulnerable to those in the world who don't understand this. For me personally if you put yourself in place of Ben you are a beautiful creation that God has made and protected. God protects you fiercely and as you look back you see this and realize that God is your best friend and savior. God will always love you and protect you, he only allows certain people to know you for his purpose and you know you always have a place to go where you are never alone and loved unconditionally through Jesus Christ. If you find a person like this, they are worth more than gold and a gift from the most high God the Father maker of both heavan and earth and all that is beautiful and the very source from which love comes from.

No matter what, this song is very emotional. I watch the movie too. The friendship they have is exceptional, however, it had to end, they cannot be together, both have their own destiny. They have their own world.

Very endearing song with a beautiful and lovely innocence to it about love and empathy. Sunged by little brother Michael Jackson[r.i.p] about befriending a pet mouse that he might have raised while thinking about the rat named Ben. The rat who was trained by a human named Willard in the 1971 movie by the same name. Where at the end, Ben and the rest of the rats turned demonic and against him.

It's about a rat.
-
It is about MJ's pet rat ben. It's about how they found a friend in each-other. That Ben is an amazing friend.
-
It's obviously about a pet rat that Michael had as a kid.

Michael did have a pet mouse or rat it dosent matter the point is he didn't kill himself yes people did hurt his feelings but he loved his children too much to kill himself dr Murray did the job and after Michael died he said Im hungry let's go get something to eat. He didn't care about mike he used him to get women! He has six different baby mommas. I just wish that Michael wasn't so trusting.

Uhm this song isn't even about a mouse ! it's about a rat duh!!

Actually, Michael didn't have a pet mouse named Ben. This song was written for a movie, about a boy and his mouse, and of course, they asked Michael to sing it. I think the song is about a boy and how he doesn't have many friends.. and how he and the rat are together. Finding friendship was a hard thing for Michael because of his early superstardom. This song is adorable. It relates to him so well.

This song is about a pet mouse that Michael used to have when he was a child, hence the lyrics 'most people would turn you away' and 'You feel you're not wanted, anywhere. The mouse was his only friend, hence the lyrics 'With a friend to call my own, I'll never be alone'.
