Busy Bein' Born Lyrics

The days keep dragging on
Those rafts keep pushing on whoa

The slowest race around
We all just race around whoa

and when the hope's gone the weight falls on me

yeah, when i'm gone the weight falls on me

Definitely political. "go ahead now fuck it up the next guy pays for it" (presidents fucking it up for the next guy)

no sense in signing up, the names already there (enlisting to the military even though they can draft)

"what i get aint half of what i get" taxes?

plus the name is pretty sociopolitical

Personally, I think the song is about how the singer feels as a musican. He sacrifices to "feel alive", because he writes songs and stays "pennyless" instead of earning much money. From this point of view "at least i'll die with a name" also makes sence: He is a famous musican, but he´s poor.
That´s how I think about it, but I also read other interpretations, like "the song is about depression" in general or about "social security".
All in all, it seems that he´s quite under pressure in his life.

PS: I´m from Germany and I think this is a really great song, despite I´m not very sure what it is about :D
