Neil Young: Down to the Wire Meaning
Down to the Wire Lyrics
-
A old universal song that is still relevant in today's age about a woman that was loved much more and respected by ''The Innocents'', and her Man that was and still trying to hold on to her, being in denial out of love and his dependency to her to see the truth about her lying. You can see it all played out and coming down in a modern day version of a CROOKED HILL airy still trying to take the ROAD to the Whitehouse that is coming ''Down To The Wire'' with her Campaigners feeling the burn against THE ONE not so called Campaingner[politician] that helped her out once, not knowing she was burning his hands with so many lies.

sounds to me this song can be about a relationship with a woman that he feels a fiery passion for, probably loves her very much, not only in the flesh wich is obvious, but in the hope that she would love him for his true self. many times we get what we want, but in the long run we may not get what we need, he is proabably taken the relationship to serious and she may have a lack of emphaty for how he feels about her or for himself for that matter, but he hangs on in the hope as words of a lair that once was helped by, but now he feels let down to the wire by the choice he made in her laughing in. finally the godly voice is turning into a angelic choir in his mind to warn him that they need help.
