Passion Pit: Moth's Wings Meaning
Moth's Wings Lyrics
Your flowers are withering
Your mother's gone insane
Your leaves have drifted away
But the clouds are clearing up
And I've come reveling
Burning incandescently

In my point of view, the song is referring to someone who hides behind walls and is very stubborn, almost violent. Yet, this individual's "flowers are withering" so i think that means whoever it is is finally coming undone and giving in to love. "Put down your sword and crown come lay with me on the groind" means the individual sheds their armor and finally succumbs to the pressure of love. "You come beating like moth's wings, spastic and violently. Ripping me into a storm…" most likely means she(gender roles can be reversed) is probably giving him a hard time but he stays through the madness even when she "runs away from him" he is "reveling". Idk thats just my interpretation of the song but i may be completely wrong. I just find that explanation to be the most identifiable.

The speaker is complaining about someone being cruel and mean.
