So my interpretation is that the band were playing snooker in a club and the rules were after potting a Red then a coulour then a red so it was mentioned to an unfamiliar band member who was not offay with the sequence by whom i am not sure and to whom the next shot was a colour and said which one and so the quote goes " Any colour you like "

You guys must be having fun. I get it.

Seriously, for people who don’t already know, the title is half of the infamous statement by Henry Ford about (the second gen?) Model T car:

    You can have it in
    any colour you like,
    so long as it’s black.

Although The Song Is An Instrumental, "Any Colour You Like Is About The Fear Of Making Choices. The Origin Of The Title Is Unclear.

The nurses at the insane asylum are sedating the protagonist of the album by giving him drugs. The title of the song refers to the fact that they are arbitrarily choosing which pills to give him. The music in the song reflects the impact of these pills on the protagonist's mind.
