Pink Floyd: Lucifer Sam Meaning
Lucifer Sam Lyrics
Always sitting by your side
Always by your side
That cat's something I can't explain
Jennifer Gentle you're a witch
You're the left side
He's the right side
Oh no
That cat's something I can't explain
Lu-ci-fer go to sea
Be...

Foxfire mushrooms are, a source of much controversy, they burn at negative three, and are daughters of a hexagon snowflake. In the Bible, both Christ and Lucifer are seen as the morning light, who's treading on who, I'm really not sure. The day star described is the light of. in constant pursuit of apple pie and a 78 buick skylark, and written in stone, indeed a lot of pressure on the House of David.

Seems to me that this song is partially about a ''errie presence'' SYD BARRETT must've felt in this certain man along with the relationship his then girlfriend was having with him. SYD BARRETT may have sensed and observed this shadowy figure that appears and disappears by gently camouflaging and communicating with both sides. Getting attached like a symbiotic Siamese twin, secretly conspiring as, or with a ''double agent rat''[drug pusher] that was hanging around in their circle of friends, like a ''cool cat trying to be hip'' only as a cover to spy on them and sell them m k ultra sweets. All the while SYD BARRETT was just wishing the imposter would go out sailing the high seas somewhere outta the sights of his girlfriend so she could be alone with him [SYD] and his Siamese house cat named SAM, from where he got the idea for this song to use and fuse the two together as a conspiracy theory to expose who the imposter may have been working for. Also to warn others about what was happening with SAM, which later came to be discovered in songs to get into like ''STEPPENWOLF'S'' ''Don't Step On The Grass,SAM'' for SAM'S own safety 'cause he was originally a domesticated and declawed house cat that should not roam the outdoors to creep on the wild grass that is too high.

it's abt a siamese cat..of how they never let go of their master..always show up when their master show up, often until the point of annoyance "lucifer go to sea.." justifies the master's annoyance

The song is about drug hallucinations and the mind starting to develope a alternate personality. Syd Barrett did alot of acid and it will make you insane and see things not really there. My friend ended up the same way, he say killer teddy bears.
