Anything Like Me Lyrics
Get her out of me
Sorry for what I've become
Because I'm becoming someone
Your hand on my neck, you call up the press
Die for the attention
You pray for a reaction
I'll stop when it's no more fun
If this is...
-
Poppy is talking to herself in the third person. She is looking at the past self of her that she no longer relates to. This symbolizes her breaking out from who she used to be, and she will never be like thay person ever again. "Die for attention pray for a reaction" could be seen two different ways. Poppy old self liked doing weird stunts and odd things to create press around her music, or she is talking about Titanic.
