Rise Against: Behind Closed Doors Meaning
Song Released: 2007
Behind Closed Doors Lyrics
Hands armed with broken bottles,
Standing no chance to win but,
We're not running, we're not running.
There's a point I think we're missing,
It's in the air we raise our fists in,
In the smiles we cast...

#1 top rated interpretation:to me the songs meaning is as follows -
The world as we see it today is more inclined to want to fight for superiority and all actions will be concidered hostile / treasonist. The song also makes reference to the fact that there are still Slave camps, this is very much shown through the section - "On broken backs we beg for mercy." The song itself is a protest song about the hardships mordern life throws our way, and that all we can do is overcome them -
This is about all of the injustices that are going on in the world today that we never see or dont care to pay attention to "we've all got better things to do", but also the flip side where justice wins out
-
its about never giving up on anything, no matter how hard the situation may be. it also awares people of stuff that goes on behind everyones' backs.
-
omg, no one has put anything for behind closed doors yet. wow. well it means never stop fighting for your place in life, you can make a small influince, or maybe a big influince, but you will make one. even if the thing is a small mouse, maybe you saved the mouse's life, that is a influince/
