Rise Against: Blood to Bleed Meaning
Blood to Bleed Lyrics
Lives once lived but now are lost
Time spent wondering about tomorrow
I don't care if we lose it all tonight
Up in flames, burning bright
Warming the air of the world
"I don't love you anymore" is all I...

The album is called "Siren Songs of the Counter Culture". Basically all the songs relate to how the counter culture/anarchist lifestyle is. What I feel happened is he went and did an anarchism and she got pissed that he did it and left.

Parents abandoning him/them/her
Read the lyrics with this in mind
This place rings with echoes of
Lives once lived, but now are lost
Time spent wondering about tomorrow
I don't care if we lose it all tonight
Up in flames, burning bright
Warming the air of the world
"I don't love you anymore" is all I remember you telling me
Never have I felt so cold
But I've no more blood to bleed
'Cause my heart has been draining into the sea
Steps, I take in your footsteps
Are getting me closer to what is left
Of the dreams of what I once claimed to know
Within my bones this resonates
Boiling blood will circulate
Could you tell me again what you did this for?
"I don't love you anymore" is all I remember you telling me
Never have I felt so cold
But I've no more blood to bleed
'Cause my heart has been draining into the sea
Still I wait
With a hope inside of me (Inside of me)
So still, I wait (So still, I wait)
Until again we meet, until again we meet
Within my bones this resonates
Boiling blood will circulate
Could you tell me again what you did this for?
"I don't love you anymore" is all I remember you telling me
Never have I felt so cold
But I've no more blood to bleed
'Cause my heart has been draining into the sea
Still I wait
With a hope inside of me (So still, I wait)
So still, I wait (A hope inside of me)

This song is about his relationship with America, it’s culture, politics, society. Can you tell me what you have did this far poses the question of what you your self have done to make your life, your people, your would better. You have to remember there are bigger things then finding out the person your dating and you are different natured. So stop being little bitches

I believe this song is just of a loss of life. Having a fight and then the female dies, the male whom the story is about feels numb, wishes he could go back, goes into depression, self harms, bleeds out. Goes to his lover to apologize. "but still I wait, until again we meet" Waiting for himself to bleed out. He has no more blood to bleed...
-
Breaking away from the cliche of break ups, I believe this song is about the death of either a loved one or someone very close. He feels angry and hurt that the last encounter they had was ugly, and because of that, that's all he can attribute to them when he thinks of them. He knows he'll see them again someday when he passes on, but for now, he's got no more blood to bleed.
-
The person's wife or girlfriend tells him that she doesn't love him anymore, but he's already been hurt so much, that he doesn't really feel anything anymore.
-
this song is about him trying to figure why she did what she did to him and why she could say that she didnt love him anymore and he has to suffer with he heartache that she has brought upon him
but that is only what it means to me but its different to every one :)
