Rise Against: Boy's No Good Meaning
Boy's No Good Lyrics
The boy's no good.
Yeah, he's a fuckin' hood.
He won't treat you like he should.
I heard he's making time with this friend of mine.
I heard he's talking trash.
I saw that kid last...

This song is kinda simple and repetitive lyrically,so many people may pass it off as meaningless and silly. But in reality, this technique of repitition and mindlessness is very definitive of punk music. It is done to get a serious point across without all the bs in the middle. Anyway,in the song Tim says things like "boy's no good" and "he's a fuckin hood". It also says "he's got nothin to do, but hes got something". I think He's referring to peer pressure and how easily influenced you are when you're young. I remember when i was a little turd, I'd see these older kids dressed in all black, skateboarding, and being general douches. I looked up to them and wanted to be jusrt like them, they seemed like they were havingso much fun. when really, kids like this want you to think that. It's because their behavior is just a mask to deceive you and draw you in just to hurt you. When I would go and try to talk to kids like this, they'd just brush me off and/or bring me down. They're just hiding the ugly person they are on the inside. Guys, never hurt somebody to make you feel better than you actually are, and by all means, always be yourself! XD
