Rise Against: Ready to Fall Meaning
Song Released: 2006
Ready to Fall Lyrics
I know I've been gone for what seems like forever
But I'm here now waitin
To convince you that I'm not a ghost or a stranger
But closer than you think
She said just go on to...

Guys Calm Down, Plz keep in mind that attacking a person such as calling them a dumbass retartd etc is a fallacy and would cancel out all validity that you contain. I have never seen the video, I'm going based by the lyrics and my knowedge of rise against in all the albums that they have distributed. There last album was influenced by the struggling relationships that they have all faced and after hearing and reading the lyrics based on my previous knowledge of this amazing band I assume that this is about a women as well. My interpertation is that it's about of girl that he pushed aside once before, he didn't know what he wanted then, but now he does.she is the one. If you agree that's great if you dont..whatever. I respect all of your opinions this is just mine. ~Bosstone

The video to this song is really good I just hate I when animals die, especially like the way the dog did.
really good song -
This song is NOT about a girl or any person in general. The references to people are metaphors for feelings and ideas concerning the enviroment and how unbareable it will become due to us.
-
You're all retarded. The only person that really knows what the song is about is Rise Against.
-
You are all a fuck load of morons. Stop talking all of you. It's not about a girl or the environment (yes, I have seen both versions of the video, rise against songs don't necessarily go with the videos). The Song is about being at the top and having no place to go but down. Closed case.
-
You guys are being incredibly abrasive, and have not realized that neither of you have been incorrect. The song does clearly state "she". Keep in mind further that when they lyrics say "I am not a ghost or a stranger" it is clear that he is indicating that attempting to dettach oneself from a situation using the facade of being a ghost or a stranger misses the mark of the real problems. The line that says "she" is a personification of the enviroment itself. By telling the listener that they are not "ghosts or strangers" it tells them not to be dettached from "her" therefore showing dualism in relationships as well as awareness for the enviroment, while preaching against dettachment.

dont always think everything is about there conservationist stance
RC: "Ready To Fall" is an interesting song. What's it about?
TM: It's about getting to the top and having nowhere to go but down. It's about the price you pay to follow your dreams. -
your all partially wrong except for the ones about the girl theory...stop listening to rise agianst its not for emos
Now the band believes in conserving nature and taking care of the earth ....and they are saying we can still fix the world and we can still do the right thing....they arent saying our world s totaly fucked adn they are also saying the earth still has beauty and we as a race have to take responsibility for what we have done so far -
LAWL at both some of this and The Good Left Undone's interpretations.
And the song is not about peta and whatnot just because the video is, and no the song is not about a girl, but yes to some extent the song is about how f-ed up the world is.
No I don't know exactly what the song's about, but this is just so funny some of the responses. -
This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway

They are environmentalists. At the end of the video it says, clearly stated by the lead singer dude "every action has a reaction. We have one planet and one chance"
now do you get it you assholes?

It is about how our world is getting worse and worse and how animals are dying, I cried when I saw the video, and for who ever wrote that it's about a girl, its not retard
