Rise Against: Voices Off Camera Meaning
Voices Off Camera Lyrics
That are calling out your name?
Twisting your arms, holding out their hands
And tugging at your sleeve

It's about young person that takes control of their life, getting out from their parents net, being tired of them overprotecting him and leading him everywhere holding his hand, and realizing how hard everything is, even everyday stuff. Narrator surrounds himself with people he doesn't like or respect because they simply are around and he doesn't know how to make new friends. He just doesn't want to be alone. He feels alone anyway, because he's different, because his values are different, and he stands by a choice - either follow everyone, his fake friends, or hope to hear another "desperate cries" from people similar to himself, that will help him in his life.
