I think the song is about cocaine addiction. Blackened the sun. What have I done. You would have to have been there to know I guess

I believe this is referring to the garden of Eden when Adam ate the Forbidden fruit. Before he ate the fruit everything he saw all life. After the fruit was eaten Adam saw all death. He saw the sun dying. And he kept repeating what have I done? Before he felt bad and he felt numb. Afterwards he felt so good he felt so numb. Well that doesn’t match the story of what happened. But in this case it was the Devil bragging that he got in the eat the fruit
