ok here is my opinion and let me nknow if Im wrong...It sounds to me like he is trying to get over a bad relationship that went totally wrong and the girl doesn't want anything to do with him."Im dialing the phone, letting it ring for hours pretending to hear your voice" she won't answer his calls or talk to him..he is somewhat in denial maybe, the line "why does my heart always beat before yours does?"in my opinion meanshis heart beats with love for her but hers doesn't beat with love for him.."im making myself believe in you" he's making himself think that she will come back to him. That's my opinion and like I said tell me if you think you something to add to it
