When I first heard this song it made me wonder if it was related to the movie Christiane F & heroin use/street life that was associated with Bahnof Zoo Station in Germany in the late 70s

42nd Street in NYC during the late 70's. There was a show on TV called The Deuce, it is about prostitutes, gays, pimps, disco bars open all night.
