   Selena is slaying it in the music industry, in life, and in her looks. She has haters and people are jealous of her success. Selena is saying that although, yes, she might make mistakes and deal with adverse situations the wrong way, she is still going to own up to those decisions because they make her who she is. Yes, the literal translation of this song is, "treat everyone kindly, even those who have hurt you." But, I think it goes deeper than that. It's her emotions that need to be read between the lines. If you just take the song for what it is, a catchy tune by a great artist, you're missing out on a great song. I feel that Selena may be slaying it in life, but in a way, this song seems like a cry for help and she wants people to know that she's struggling.
