Set It Off: I'll Sleep When I'm Dead Meaning
I'll Sleep When I'm Dead Lyrics
Glare at my screen with two big bloodshot eyes
I'm stuck self-torturing
My meds are failing me
Internal clock in smithereens
Can't fix this
I'm hopeless
My eyes are stapled open wide

I believe the song is about the Singer’s stress of putting together the written work. They always have a new idea or a project to edit, so they never get to sleep. It’s draining their energy and sometimes their sanity.
-
this song is about the writer, and the fact that they are always the last one asleep, and the horrors of the delusions of sleep deprivation, it is also believed that this song is linked to; insomnia and loss of sanity, but these have not been confirmed by the artist.
-
I personally think this song is about someone going insane due to insomnia. I get this from the phrase, "Bloodshot eyes." and "Self-torturing". For my interpretation of the singer having Insomnia, I can tell this by the words, "My eyes are stapled open" and "I can barely shut my eyes". To prove they are losing sanity, I'll use the quote, "My sanity is spent.". Overall, the possibility of them being insomniatic is from the quote, "All insomniacs, please raise your right hand". BOOM! Finished.
-
I think the music talks pretty much about someone slowly going insane because of insomnia, though the cause of it is a bit unclear.

This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway
