Set It Off: Partners in Crime Meaning
Partners in Crime Lyrics
We swore that death will do us part
They’ll call our crimes a work of art
you’ll never take us alive
We’ll live like spoiled royalty
Lovers and partners
Partners in crime
Partners in crime
This, a tale of...

To me, it sounds like the song might be based off the real life story of American outlaws Bonnie and Clyde, a couple who were married and went across the US with thieving and death behind them.

To me the song is about the inseparable connection some have with another(even criminals thus why it is called partners in crime) the reason I think it is a bit about the inseparable connection some have is because of the lyrics “Death will do us part” is really another way of saying Till death do us part which is a wedding vow that means till death the two will be with each other. Another reason is the lyrics “you’ll never take us alive” the reason why for these ones is because if two people are partners in crime and they get taken alive then they would be separated into different cells and have different schedules so they can’t see each other for the most part.
