And The Hero Will Drown Lyrics

The night will come
and rip away,
her wings of innocence through every word we say
maybe it's time,
to spit out the core of our rotting union
hopefully before it chokes
us to our senses.

Guess it's too bad,
that everything we have
is taken...

“The night will come and rip away her wings of innocence through every word we say” (The man will have enough courage to stand up to the girl in the relationship for the wrong she has committed, she will now realize she’s not so innocent)
“Maybe it’s time to spit out the core of our rotting union hopefully before it chokes us to our senses” (through confrontation it’s time we end this rotting relationship simply before it gets even worse than it already is)
“Guess it’s too bad that everything we have is taken away”(two meanings: it’s “too bad” that the girl’s innocence is taken away but also too bad that the relationship has ended but he just ”guesses” because it has to end this way)
“Swim in the smoke, the hero will drown, intoxicating beauty tears everything down” ( if you turn a blind eye to all the wrong and lies of the woman, the man will be her slave, the man will overlook her terrible ways just because of the sex and drop dead beautiful looks of the woman but it will beat him down)
“But still our hands are bound at the wrist, this romantic tragedy is suffocating from your fist, in a sea of fire” (we will not forget our past but it’s sad and making the woman very angry)
    *chorus again*
“Hero hero this word you’ll never know
Hero, hero this word you’ll never know”
(The man couldn’t save the relationship but at least he confronted the problem, the woman will never know what it’s like to even come close to being a hero, however)
