Until the Day I Die Lyrics

Until the day I die
I'll spill my heart for you, for you
Until the day I die
I'll spill my heart for you

As years go by
I race the clock with you
But if you died right now
You know that I'd die to
I'd die too

You remind me of the...

I have heard a lot of people on different sites say that this song is about all the band members living together on the tour bus or something.

Still, I believe a song means what you choose it to mean.

For me this song represents the very tangled feelings I have for a guy.

"Until the day I die, I'll spill my heart for you, for you; Until the day I die, I'll spill my heart for you"--This verse tells how I'd do anything in the world for him.

"As years go by, I race the clock with you"--Still, we only have a little time left to us. We're graduating this year and may never see one another again.

"But if you died right now, You know that I'd die too...I'd die too"--No matter what happens, he's in my heart and I'll always care deeply about him. Anything that hurts him, hurts me.

"You remind me of the times when I knew who I was (When I knew who I was)"--When I met him, I knew who and what I was. Now, I'm not so sure of myself.

"But still the second hand will catch us like it always does."--And once again, time races by, changing everything.

"We'll make the same mistakes"--I keep messing up when I am with him. I forget how to be myself and it messes us up.

"I'll take the fall for you"--And yet, whenever necessary, I would take his place.

"I hope you need this now because I know I still do."--I need the strength something to live for gives me and I hope he can reap benefits himself.

"Until the day I die (Until the day I die), I'll spill my heart for you; Until the day I die (Until the day I die), I'll spill my heart for you"--And yet I will care for and about him for the rest of my life, no matter what I or he does:

"Should I bite my tongue..."--I want to tell him how I feel, but I'm so afraid that he'll treat my feeling spitefully. Should I bite back the words that are always on the time of my tongue?

"Until blood soaks my shirt?"--Biting back words that need to be said has a bloody price

"We'll never fall apart"--We have so much potential, yet if I bite my tongue, then nothing will change. We will keep that same potential.

"so tell me why this hurts so much"--It is supposed to be a good thing, but the silence hurts.

"My hands around your throat and I think I hate you"--He often does things that infuriate me.

"But still we'll say, "remember when" just like we always do, just like we always do"--And then I remember all the good things about him and I cannot hate him anymore.

"Until the day I die (Until the day I die), I'll spill my heart for you; Until the day I die (Until the day I die), I'll spill my heart for you; Yeah I'd spill my heart!! Yeah I'd spill my heart, for you!!!"--And yet I will care for and about him for the rest of my life, no matter what I or he does:

"My hands around your throat And I think I hate you"--Still I fight with my internal anger. Why did you pick her when you could have had me?! And so I hate him.

"We made the same mistakes, mistakes like friends do,"--And the mistakes repeat themselves. I still cannot say or be who I am.

"my hands around your throat and I think I hate you. We made the same mistakes."--And I know I should hate him. And again I make the same mistakes.

"Until the day I die I'll spill my heart for you, for you. Until the day I die (Until the day I die) I'll spill my heart for you, for you. Until the day I die (Until the day I die) I'll spill my heart for you. Until the day I die (Until the day I die); Until the day I die!!"--But I cannot erase feeling from my blind heart. Still, I will do anything for him.

Strangely enough, I discovered this song on his MySpace page...

i think this song is about the singer talking about untill the day he dies he will be their for this person who he loves so much and as they get older even though they might change or grow apart but no matter what this person is his the love of his life , and that person knows him better then himself and reminds him that he can never leave this person and no matter if they may fight what may he will always be their for the person willing to die for them and from this he will bite his tounge because he knows it will bring back bad feelings and swallow his pride and when he's angry at the person they will quickly make up

I think that this sing is about a guy who loves this girl with everything he's got. " until the day I die I'll spill my heart of you" and he wants to be with her forever. But I think that sometimes they may get in fights and he just wants to hate her " my hands around your throat your throat and I think I hate you" but ithink that they get past that and the point is no matter what he'll always want to be with her, and he's sayung that if he has to he'll " bite his tongue and let the blood spill on his shirt...(?)" just so he doesn't say anything to ruin them.

This son to be is about a guy confessing his love for a girl who has been his best friend for a while. I believe that she admits to and they debate about who liked who longer and they race the clock to find out. I think they are happy but fight about little things and develop a hatred because its not goin how they wanted it too. The fact they cant be happy from the fighting and they refuse to live without one another and then because the fight leads to a break up they cant be friends nemore. and like a lot of people in relationships dont stay friends they made the mistake of losing a friendship for wanting to be more and love each other.

this song could represent a group of friends as well as two people who love each other but won't tell the other person so you're at a stand still. i know that it most deffinatly means that you'll always be there for one another. ;D

I think that this song represents me and my bud from school. he can be such a retard but in the end we alway run right back to each other. he also thinks that going out with other girls and still making it obvious that he has liked me since i first met him is ok.i think this is like a i won't spill my feelings type of song and thats how my friendship is with my bud. i guess he's just saving the best and coolist for last. it really sucks because he makes me so POed but for some reason no matter how hard i try we always make up. i guess our friendship is really important because he usually alway gets the girls he wants. until the day he dies he's always going to have some part of me.

I feel like this is like even though they fuck up, and have problems and that their friendship or relationship is falling apart, they're saying regardless of what will ever happen they will always be there for one another.

I think this is a song about two people who would do anything for each other. 'Until the the day I die, I'd spill my heart for you.' They're so close, they've been together foreve, that if one were to die, theother could not go o. 'As the years go by, I race the clock with you. But if you died right now, you know that I'd die too.' They know each other so well, and she knows who he really is inside, and whenever he forgets himself, she's there to remind him. 'You remind me of the times when I knew who I was.' He'd do anything for her. 'I'd take the fall for you.' He wants to tell her he wants to be more then friends, but he doesn't know how to say it, for fear of ruining their frieship. 'Should I ite my tongue unil blood soaks my shirt? We'll never fall apart, so tell me why this hurts that much.' Sometimes they fight so much they tell themselves they hate each other, but they can't help bu remember the times when they're together and smile. 'My hands are at your throat, and I think I hate you. But still we'll say 'Remember when?' Just like we always do.' They've made mistakes and done some really stupid things for each other, but they've alway's come through for each other. 'We made the same mistakes. Mistakes like friends always do.' In the end, he'll do anything for her, because they're friends and he loves her and he'll spill his heart for her until the day he dies.

I think this song is about a couple who are so in love but circumstances are too complicated and hard for them to always be together. They would do anything for eachother but life just keeps kicking them in the ass. But no matter what they will always go back to eachother bc thqt is how true their love is.

I think this is about a couple who love each other very much, and they want ever moment to last a lifetime, but time catches up to them. I think that it's talking about how they're in love, but there are times when they just think that they can't go on with each other because of a big fight. In the end, making the same mistakes as friends do, they fight and make up and everything's okay again

I think it describes a basic love/hate relationship. Possibly people who used to be friends, but grew apart or had an argument, ex-lovers, it could be all sorts of things. But I think it has something to do with hating how much they love someone.

I agree with the anonymous that said the thing about the band thing. I mean come on, a band almost always travels together and there are gonna be conflicts every now and then which explains the line "My Hands are at your throat and I think I hate you" but at the same time they will also love each other as band mates and will help them through hard times. So explains the lines "Until the day I die,I'll spill my heart for you." So that what I have to say about this song.

This is my and my boyfriend's song, well I think this songs main conclusion is that when you find someone you love it reminds you of who you used to be and how much you have changed. The song is saying that the guy/girl is going to wait as long as it takes for the other person aka I'll race the clock with you. Also it talks about how in relationships you will go through hardships. lol aka my hands are at your throat and I think I hate you. But also you always get through it no matter what. When you truly love someone if they were to die, most likely the other partner would never be the same. My BF almost committed suicide because of when someone was keeping me from him. I realized that and almost died inside because losing him would make me lose part of myself. This song is about loving someone forever no matter what happens. You will always spill your heart to the one you love, its impossible not to =] But hey what would I know. I'm only 14

I think this song is between lovers. At the beginning of the song “until the day I die I’ll spill my heart for you” I believe means that he’d spill his blood for the other person, in other words he’d sacrifice his/her life for that person.

“As years go by I race the clock with you, but if you but if you die right now you know that I die too.” Refers to the two of them spending time or their lives together for a long while, hence years, and if something happens to the other person, if they die. Then they are unable to move on without them.

“You remind me of the times when I knew who I was. But still the second hand will catch us like it always does” This refers to the time of how one person was and how they are now, I think it’s describing how the other person changed the singer.

The second part could be that in the relationship like any, there are challenges and something happens to test them, so it could be referring to that.

So here are the reasons for my interpretation. It is simply a dedicated partner who wishes to protect what’s precious to him or her depending on who listens and interprets it that way but I think it’s a guy, but girls could feel the same way, I know I do and I am a girl.

I hope I did ok at this. I’m sure my spelling is bad someplace but here are my ideas, hopefully they make some sense.

I think this song is about friendship. Your good friends will ALWAYS get on your nerves and there will always be things that you won't agree on, but you still love them dearly and would rather 'spill your heart' than see them hurt.

I feel like this song is about a person who promised to be with someone for their lives, and is afraid of breaking a promise because of their reaction towards it. Now he regrets is, but can't break the relationship off. He made a mistake and used that one word, 'promise'.

I think this song is about a man who loves a woman very dearly and realizes they have their faults and fights but through it all he will always love her.
