It's Raining Again Lyrics
Oh no, my love's at an end
Oh no, it's raining again
And you know it's hard to pretend
Oh no, it's raining again
Too bad I'm losing a friend
Oh no, it's raining again
Oh, will my heart ever mend
You're old enough some...

#1 top rated interpretation:This is a deeply meaningful song. The song is NOT just about a breakup as implied above. It is about Depression. Listen to the chorus. "Come on you little fighter, no need to get uptighter!" and the crescendo, "And Get back up again...you get back up again." Clearly, it is about each time a person dips into a depression after something loved lost and the will to get back up again. The rain is Depression. This song and the group in general helped me through what is the worst childhood a little girl can have: A sociopath for a mother and a drunk father.

A beautiful song of inspiration to lift one to a stronger state of mind during some difficult and emotional days as a young man with his first true love and facing separation as they get older and grow apart. The verses have a sad overtone and the refrain is more upbeat and supportive. Got me through just such a life path...

Every time that play this song it’s me kind of sad and would want to make me cry because I really miss my step mom and my dad and my other families members and my step mom and my dad are living here in New Zealand and I always love my family

I always feel a sadness when l hear this song, especially in the very beginning when the horn is playing. It has always hit me as sad. Not just because of Losing a love, or a friend. It really does seem to be about depression in general, and trying to stay motivated to get back up again.

The song is about breaking up with someone, and like most Supertramp songs, it deals with the subject in a ironic, cynical and almost flippant way. It talks about the feelings involved and how it seems to be recurring (“get back up again”). It gives a sense of someone hoping to find love, but it just never works out, and so will keep trying. It also gives the impression that the singer fell for a friend and how it hurts him knowing it’s tainted their friendship, as such a situation would.

I just started listening to the song yesterday, but it was quite easy to decipher."It's raining again, I know my love's at an end" just tells you the story of a person who is having the worst of days. His love breaks up with him and he is living in an unlucky life, thus it's raining again. Hypothetically when it rains you are sad. He is sad of his loss is all, and it just keeps getting worse.
