Fox On The Run Lyrics
-
The writer stated fox on the run was about how he felt after finding out his girl was hooking up with the rest of the band.. He says he felt like a fox on the run maybe to get away from her..
-
A once popular old song about a Guy that probably lost His once conservative hard rock loving and looking girlfriend to the World's Narssistic self -centerness Glamour. That turned herself wit It, looking now like a ''Fox On The Run''. Meaning, she got all dune and dressed UP with a short skirt, long nails, lipstick and all that disco jazz that went to her head.
-
The fox on the run is a band groupie who used to be genuine (she acted like her genuine self) but has reinvented her look and her act, to impress others — "you don't look the same, the way you did before" "pretty face but the rest of you is out of place," "you looked alright before" (ie 'why are you faking it, you were fine as your try self').
And she spends her energy trying to attract attention and impress others — "You scream and everybody comes a runnin," "You, you talk about just every band, But the names you drop are second hand, I've heard it all before."
And because of this insincere reframing of herself, she's not pleasant to hang around and you'd never get to know the real person, thus the singer's attitude "I don't wanna know your name."
