   this song is deff saying hollywood fucks everyone.But this song is not saying not to join show biz or any of that.this part of the song proves it.

   He says "you were the biggest fish out here" so to me that means that they were prolly the best band/singer around in that area and would of been very popular localy.But they wanted to be rich and famous so he/she did what they ALL do go to cali.
