Thetawaves Lyrics
Leaving the senses to fend for themselves,
The senses collect undeniable data,
About beta carotene and thetawaves,
The unsettled mind is at times an ally,
Leaving the senses to fend for...

My interpretation of this song is that Serj is singing/talking about dept. He says "Dept" at least 3 times in this song. I think he means that the dept of society has a major effect on the economy. I also think he means when people fend for themselves, they protect themselves from the dept of the economy.

i think the song is about how a higher power (brain) tries to assure the other senses that everything is alright, and yet the senses soon find out that the higher power was lying. this can be taken as the american government (higher power) lying to the senses (the american people). the government tries to assure the people that America is perfect and everything is fine. but the people find out that the government is a lye. basically how the government tells us everything is fine, leaves us with no knowlege, and the people find that the government is bad
