Mind Games Lyrics
Pushing the barriers planting seeds
Playing the mind guerrilla
Chanting the Mantra peace on earth
We all been playing those mind games forever
Some kinda druid dudes lifting the veil
Doing the mind...

#1 top rated interpretation:"Mind games" are a good thing, not a bad thing. Mind games are the seemingly small but history-changing efforts of a small group of spiritually enlightened "mind guerillas" to "push [the] boundaries" of human social constructs, to "plant the seeds" of peace, and to "lift the veil" of the divine. This song is a rallying cry for all those silent bodhisattvas, sufis, and gnostics who through their small actions and intentions guide humanity toward the ultimate answer, which is...love.

#2 top rated interpretation:Consciousness pretending there is a solid world is the mind game.
Faith in the future out of the now perpetuates the game.
Cultivating constant love vibration in heart reveals truth of above. -
"Mind games" is a euphemism for our entrapment in the five sense world that we perceive as reality "projecting our images in space and time" through love and peace we can realise our unlimited potential "love is the answer" He wanted for us to understand we are all one infinite consciousness.
This man knew the truth that's why they killed him R.I.P to a true inspiration. -
We play these games throughout life of acting a certain way or doing things that seemingly please others. We have faith in the future, out of "Now", Meaning we never allow ourselves to truly live life in the here and now.
I think John was speaking to the "Now" meaning try just once to think about right now. Smell the roses, look at the trees and appreciate what we have at present.
Absolute elsewhere, dreaming of being not in the present as if the present holds no answers, so we project ourselves into a different time or space with the hope of something better. -
It's about women, all women really and truly want is sex with men but they pretend they dont thus they are playing mind games for no reason when all they really want with men is one thing which is sex "keep on playing those mind games together" all the women playing the mind games together minding their way to something other than what they want.
"raising the spirit of peace and love" simply because it is harder to get and its became a sort of mind "game" it raises the height of love and the meaning of the emotion becomes alot greater and stronger because it is harder and more challenging to get. INSTINCTIVLY none of us want these computers and electriacle goods, etc etc none of us want money, all we really want is love, sex and caringness between each other, and if we were all true to what we really wanted there would only be love and not war "make love and not war"
The answer comes down to if we are all open with what we want then we would all be living life in peace....if women agreed to have sex with anybody they wanted to the world would be fine, there is enough women for every man and enough men for every woman and without consumer goods, money and possesions there would only be love.
Nothing is wrong with sex it is natural but in this day and age it is looked down upon, but really it is making love, love between a man and woman comes down to sex, women enjoy playing these mind games because they dont want to get the title of being a "slag" which is a word only invented by money and hierarchy...THINK ABOUT IT, when you are stoned all you want to do is EAT, DRINK, SLEEP and have SEX...well hey guess what, its the same with women ALL they really want to do is have sex and make love with men EAT DRINK and SLEEP...so how are any of us different?
I personally think this is the message Lennon persists on telling us, he is no different to us, we are all the same, being stoned or being high is instinct in other words your body works on its own, when we are high we are all the same, when you are high you have the exact same feeling as john lennon did when he got high, so get high and believe what this song tells you when you are high because that is what he is telling us
i hope some people can agree on this. -
Mind games is about why do we play these stupid little games over love. These make no since why can't we just love each other. that's all Lennon talked about is how why do we hate and squabble over this stuff when love well "Love Is the Answer"
