Best Places to be A Mom Lyrics

there's some things i need to get off of my chest

well, today should taste much sweeter
i don't wanna talk,
i don't...

A situation this song could imply to is just like mine. My parents are divorced and are constantly at each others throats. My moms all about the child support and my dad struggles with addictions, nothing too hardcore just like alcohol. I for some reason have a stronger bond with my father but my mom has custody so if he does something wrong such as drink she practically punishes me by putting restraining orders and what not so she basically uses me to punish my dad while also trying to alter his image. If I give her any "sass" -I have some things to get off my chest- she thinks it's by my fathers influence - the sum of my father and all his sins-. -I don't wanna talk- because you get to a point where you are just plain sick of your situation and are tired of explaining things when they're too stubborn to listen anyway.-I didn't need an answer- I don't need an answer because I know what you're going to say or at least no it can't be good. A bit chopped up but that's my interpretation. Or my interpretation that implies to my situation, anyway hope you find it interesting!
