Tegan and Sara: Alligator Meaning
Alligator Lyrics
Over you, over you. Over you, over you.
Run around on me, sooner die without.
Run around on me, die without.
Relentless, yes it's true, my
motormouth runs over you.
Over you, over...

To me, the song's about a relationship that lasted longer than maybe it should have and she's singing about having cried all these "alligator" tears over whoever they had been with. Then she says how maybe in the past she would've made a scene when they broke up but not now.
