The All-American Rejects: Time Stands Still Meaning
Song Released: 2003
Time Stands Still Lyrics
Life is turned.
The day I knew you would leave
I can barely breathe
Can you hear me scream
[Chorus:]
You thrown in all directions
You epitome of perfection
She's lost her will (she's lost her will)
time is standing...
-
I think the last guy was right, except for the last part. I think that he didn't get back together with the same girl, but he found love with someone else and "night turns to day"
-
This song is obviously about a guy and his girlfriend left him and he's not happy about it:
"The day I knew you would leave
I can barely breathe
Can you hear me scream"
he thinks she is perfect, and he wants her back. or he thinks he has gona crazy and that's why she left him.
"You thrown in all directions
You epitome of perfection
She's lost her will (she's lost her will)
time is standing still"
he remebers their memories together and how much they were in love. He then realizes that he has been left to himself:
"He walks, her, home
Now he walks alone"
and the days she has been gone, seems like forever and he just misses her so much:
"The days they turn into years
The eyes they drown in tears"
what he is talking about in the following verse:
"The way we are the way we were
(It's just a shadow of what's wrong)
The time with you the time is stirred
(I love you for, so long)
The hearts they turn, they turn away
(she says to go please don't you cry)
Love lost was found, night turns to day"
is about how they are different from when they first met, and that's part of the problem. also that because destiny was redirected (because they broke up) that time has stood still. and that he will always love her. Then, they got back together and time moved on. -
I believe that it is about a guy that loses a girlfriend and the world has stopped because they are not together anymore.
