I don't know what this is about aids, but I thought it was about an elderly woman who used to be a dancer and the singer wanted her to relive her younger years before she passed away
-
I think the song is about following your dreams no matter how crazy or terrible they seem to others. The lyrics, " This is your last chance" and " Forget what they said in Soho" tell me that people put Natalie down because she wanted to be a go-go dancer even though it was her dream. The song is telling her to not give up on that crazy dream.
-
"Your last chance?" Right.
-
It's about a studio54 Brandon Flowers meets at a club in Soho, New York. She has AIDS. This song is telling her to live her life to the fullest while she has the chance.
-
"'Natalie' (whether that was her name or not) was a Studio 54 dancer in SoHo who contracted AIDS, and he is encouraging her to get her "last dance" in before it's too late - i.e. to live her life to the fullest while she can."
I found the song itself beautiful, with the lyrics and the music. Now I find it even more beautiful as it is a song written to a dying dancer. Encouraging her to continue with her passion of dancing and immortalizing her at the same time. Sigh~ -
This is him wanting a girl to dance with him so he tries to persuade her by scaring her with the possibility it might be her last chance, so she needs to let loose and live life. Which some of you andy and jenny and bob and buster people need to do. Sheesh!
-
in the lyrics, I does NOT say 'moses why don't you say'
it says "MOM SAYS, 'why don't you STAY?'" -
Wait what???? Theres a video!? Did I miss something!?!?!?!?
-
I heard that Natalie is supposed to be a dancer who has AIDS, hence the fact that this could be her last chance to disco.
-
Confusing. Natalie is obviously dancing with someone and this other dude is wanting her to himself. Jenny, Natalie, and Andy and the rest don't have to be all in the same song. Jesus people!

This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway
