Don't Give Up on "Us" Lyrics

I was thinking the same thing! I think this for sure for the fans. "this is the anthem for a dying breed" I think hes talking about the fans and how we listen to good music thats not mainstream pop or rap. "trust in us were all that you've got these days, take a look inside my heart, lets get carried away" hes talking about how all we have is music (especially their music) and how he writes the songs so "take inside my heart" and see what he feels. dont give up on them just because they've changed and get carried away listening to amazing music (:

personally, i think its about the change of the band itself. this album (Pioneer) had a different sound than the previous ones, and while it was still the Maine, they matured their sound, and this is their song saying to not give up on them because.. well, theyre maturing. also this is one of the first songs they release from the album Pioneer
