Born For This Lyrics
Drawing my battle lines
Going to war again
Feeling the rhythm inside of my chest
All I need is just a pen
I know I was born for this
I know I was born for this
Don't care for the critics
My words are like...

1TOP RATED
#1 top rated interpretation:This song is about how hard it can be to choose the path we want to take (lexical field of war, suffering and loneliness), but how in the end it's all what we go through to achieve this path that make us the strongest, 'cause we are born for this (lexical field of fire, hope and believing).
The singer takes himself as exemple, telling us that he was born to write and sing (lexical field of writing and sound), that he has gone through all the difficulties himself (the reason he use the pronouns "I" and "we") and that he made this song for others to not give up (last verse) -
2TOP RATED
#2 top rated interpretation:I think it's about how sometimes you feel like you are alone but you aren't. The lesson you learn from this song is that no matter the challenge keep on going with your dreams and never give up on them.

3TOP RATED
#3 top rated interpretation:This is the perfect song forthe percy jackson series and the heroes of olympus. I'm certain this was made for them
-
I think it's about a battle between one's self and a personal growth getting stronger in yourself and coming together despite differences to make something better.
-
I think it is partly about Percy Jackson and some of the lyrics make sense for them but I also think it is about people who are labeled as “weirdos” and how they are going to be themselves and people can’t change that. They kind of fight to get through life together and write their own story by choosing who they want to be. Anyone else getting that vibe?

I think he means to support our men and women who are on the line of duty if you know what I mean I think it is!. But I mean that's my opinion
-
it is about 911 in my opinion. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

this song, i just can't believe it isn't por percy jackson, i mean "all you need is just a pen" you have to be kidding me. it's perfect. ahhh i'm obsessed i just keep picturing them when i hear it!!!
-
Ok, I'm going to be honest: I strongly think that the lyrics of this song was inspired literally from Percy Jackson. I don't think I need to add something more!
-
I mean... If you get it, it's a dam great song for demigods. Because....sounds like they getting ready for battle to me, and...all you need is just a pen ;)

I always viewed this song as a celebration of our differences, whether it be race, sexuality, or gender. They were 'born' to change the rules, flip the script, and make it acceptable to be whoever they are. No matter what others think, even if they don't approve. I'll list a few lyrics that I believe, support my interpretation.
"We are the broken ones, who chose to spark the flame." Seems to be insinuating the spark of change that society as a whole is experiencing, a more inclusive one.
"I believe we can write our story." Refers to the new generations who are changing the world.
"We come from different places, but have the same name." That's referring to everyone being a person, regardless of language, race, or religion.
"We are the warriors who learned to love the pain." This is the saddest lyric in the whole song, it's talking about how people are used to the discrimination other people put on them.
"Don't care for the Critics. My words are like physics, a force that they can't stop." This is the people who are speaking out about the inequality in the world. The 'Critics' being the people who are opposed to the new point of view, the world seems to be adopting.
I swear I'm not trying to make this song about societal issues. I just felt like the other interpretations, relating this song to movies was inaccurate, but this was just my interpretation. One that I hope you enjoyed. -
This was meant for the avengers but it sounds like it was meant for the ppl in the heroes of olympus/percy jackson right!
-
this is a song for pple born and destined for a lifetime of pain n suffering and silent torture and secret experimentation, from the powers that be that destroys 99% of its victims but tat 1% of us end up learning to love pain mentally and physically because we want to take all the outers pain for them so they dont hurt anymore!
