The song is pretty clearly about escaping a life controlled by others. It could be friends or family, but my guess it's about work--managers, producers, label representatives, etc. They are the "vampires and wolves" who simultaneously suck the life out of the singer and turn him into one of them. He wants to run from his troubles and get drunk in the place he grew up as a rock star, back when life was all fun.
