The Wonder Years: Local Man Ruins Everything Meaning
Local Man Ruins Everything Lyrics
-
I ain't never read the lyrics to this one. It made me think back to a dream I once had... It could be about ME and online dating services. The dream..."I met a sweetie online who I dug deeply in my heart. We hit it off REAL big like two big fish in a murky pond. We ate a few meals together and went out bowling. She was a charmer. Then she got wind of some skeletons in my closet. Yes, they/the skeletons were people/mostly women. Hundreds of them. She became spooked. My darling realized that most likely perhaps the online dating service had not screened me appropriately. I didn't exactly purposely harm the gal I adored but the computer dating service could have checked me out and given her my actual bio. In my town I am now known as a Manslut. It's depressing. Had she known this prior to dating me it would have avoided some problems. She now feels wronged due to me & my 400 past lovers and she contacted the authorities. Hence I am now the Local Man Who has Ruined Everything in the world of online dating (which means not just locally)."
All people great and small deserve honesty. Business principles of online merchants and money-makers need to be spanked when they fall short of transparency or when they are guilty of clandestine exposure. All creeds should be able to "use web sites without the fear of being scammed or targeted, " Attorney General Kamala D. Harris.
I AM PROBABLY TOTALLY WRONG ABOUT THIS SONG
