    I also think that he made his song because he is telling his parents he wants to see a girl and they won't let him.

    I have heard from a source very close to Emerson Hart that he wrote the song after going on a family trip and listening to his mother criticize his girlfriend. The song was written to his mother to explain his love for his girlfriend.

    I adore this song... but it almost sounds as if the narrator of the song is explaining to the girl he's having an affair with why he can no longer see her (which is because he has a girlfriend/fiance/wife).

    Or maybe he's explaining his love to someone who disapproves (parent).

    Any other thoughts???
