Ease Lyrics

[Troye Sivan]
I'm down to my skin and bone
And my mommy, she can't put down the phone
And stop asking how I'm doing all alone, alone
But the truth is the stars are falling, ma
And the wolves are out c-calling, ma
And my home has never felt...

To me this song seems to be about someoone losing control and not knowing how they got there. It's about that feeling of not knowing who you are, what you want and who you want to be. Things that you wanted no longer make sense. Your life is a mess. You lie and pretend but you soon run of lies and the disguise is beginnimg to show. Your mother knows something is wrong but you wont admit it. And so you hold tight. You hold your breath at times, wondering how you are alive. Its the simple things- the comfort of a lullaby, the touch of a loved- its those things you yearn for the most. Whem all else has lost all sense, its those things you can still recognise and feel. They somehow make you feel less alone and less broken. The ease the bring.

i think this song is about someone who is far away from home, maybe a college student or someone who is working away.

at first she/he feels enthusiastic of going abroad and leaving home but then after a while she realized that she's exhausted of living alone from home and she only has her mom in the edge of the phone.
From her work/college, people demanded too much from her, to bring the best out of her. She tried to perform her best but then lately she's tired and she just wants to come home and wants to live a simple life.
"Í'm afraid of the life that i have made'is indicating that she has entered a phase of she is afraid of her own choice to move out of her childhood town to leave and then she is afraid because of the consequences.

in the end she has no choice and nowhere to run so she can only holding on tight and sleeping to escape all these madness.

Troye loves touring but he feels homesick, he's grateful for all his success but he misses home and his boyfriend.

My interpretation of this song is that it is about a young adult who is worn out, stretched too thin because of all of the pressure he is under. His mother is always checking up on him, and he tells her that he is doing fine, so as not to worry her, but in all honesty his world is falling apart. He feels like he is a failure, a disappointment, and he has no where to go. The only one he can go to is his mother, but he feels too ashamed to ask her for help.

In turn, he continues to pretend to be okay, even though he is drowning, the pressure becoming too much for him. No matter how much he tries to solve his problems on his own, he just can't, he always gets pulled back under. He wants so badly just to go back to how things were before, to make things better again, to feel safe and secure, not staying up night after night worrying about what to do.

He is so stressed out, he feels alienated, isolated, despite having people who support him, and he can't get rid of the sinking feeling he has. He is scared for his future, for his well-being, but he just can't ask for help. He has been pretending for so long to be okay, that he just wants so badly to drop the act. He doesn't want to trouble others with his problems, but he needs to be free of his troubles. He has always put up with it, wearing a facade as people criticize him for his mistakes, even though he is honestly doing the best he can on is own. He is always making mistakes, no matter how hard he tries to get things right.

The song is talking about a young adult likely a college student who is having trouble adjusting to life on their own and the only person to help is his/her's guardian which in this case is a Mother.
