Union J: Beautiful Life Meaning
Song Released: 2013
Beautiful Life Lyrics
-
This song mentions two people in the verses - a male and a female.
e.g. 1st verse - "She sees the world through TV screens, all of her friends in magazines, but everyday she lives a broken dream making her own reality..."
2nd verse - "He's got his fortune on the plate, but all that money won't change fate. He's got six zeros but no one to share it with..."
My interpretaion of this song is that there are these two characters - possibly based on real people, possibly fictional - who are both lonely in their own ways.
The chorus of the song talks about how they should try and change their lives.
E.g. "Open up your eyes, you'll discover there's a world outside. To fix a broken heart, you have to try..."
I think that this means the two characters should make an effort to become better people and avoid loneliness.
Also, in the music video for this song, near the end, the characters featured come out of giant crates (representing the rooms they lived in) and see other people in the outside world, including each other. Right at the end, the characters look much happier than before.
Overall, I think this song is about improving your life and meeting new people. More than anything, I think it's to encourage people to come out of their shell and embrace the world!
