Whitney Houston: Saving All My Love for You Meaning
Song Released: 1985
Saving All My Love for You Lyrics
You've got your family, and they need you there
Though I try to resist, being last on your list
But no other man's gonna do
So I'm saving all my love for you
It's not very easy, living all...

This song was not written by Whitney at all. It was written by Gerry Goffin and Michael Masser for Marilyn Mack and Billy Davis Jr The theme of the song is terrible and I don’t understand why Whitney would record a song encouraging cheating on a spouse. It also depicts a woman who has chosen to give sex a creep who will never be faithful to her or to his wife. If he cheats on his wife with her he will cheat on her even if she gets her way and creepo does divorce his wife at some point. This is a sorry excuse for a song. Even Whitney said it’s not her story so why sing it

Absolutely disgusting, sorry, been listening to this song for years but it really hits home the older I get, just what was she thinking?!!
-
I’ve never heard of that song because Whitney Houston wrote it with couple producers because producers were very smart I’ve always been working with them and writing my music but somehow it’s sorts of fun type of girly song different people had been dancing at the gym

Saving All My Love For You by Whitney Houston, great voice but lyrics.. very awful. If you respect yourself, why have an affair with a man who is already married. Real meaning is seen at wikipedia. Latest comment, explained their thoughts about this song and correct interpretation about the married man and the woman who is not loving right.

She's inlove with a married man hoping that he's going to leave his family for her but it doesnt happen. Maybe because he doesnt love her and only there for her for a sexual reason...
-
I don't agree....she is having a real affair with this man, who is promising to leave his partner but she knows its not likely to happen.
-
She's having a fantasy, and her imagination is going wild. She fell in love in with a married man, but he does not know it.
