Wiz Khalifa: When I'm Gone Meaning
When I'm Gone Lyrics
-
Hello,
My name is Peter Schwartz, A.K.A , Cameron " Wiz Khalifa " Thomaz's manager.
Every now and then when Cam is high, Rolling, or drunk..lol.. we stumble upon people post about Wiz and the meaning of his songs. About 95% of the time, most of you are wrong and think it's about weed and bottles, but you have to look past the propaganda, and see the big picture.
" When i wrote ' When I'm Gone ' , i was on a whole new level of writing i felt. Not only as me being a para. poet , but i felt i needed to expand my music to a new type of era and show i wasn't just a pot rapper, you know man, i think this is 100% , one of the greatest songs i've wrote, " Cam said to TMZ in a interview about the song, " This song is about my current life, i had a hard life , my mom was military, we moved alot, i ended up in Pitt. (Pittsburgh) and that's what i rep now. I rap about weed a lot cause that's my first love, you know. And uhhh people were being mad haters on the Taylor Gang cause of the amounts of this Para-faa-nil-a, i said it like that cause i'm high now , hahahaha. But for real man this song is about me just spending all my money living everyday to the fullest , getting fucked up , smoking OG, and really living my version of yolo. Like i go back to pitt, i actually live in L.A now, and when i do go back to the burgh i see like damn the hood i grew up in how i lived, to now and it's like damn, like the first time i got high like holy fuck. And it's crazy, i mad over 11 mil this year and i've only spent 3 mil, so i'm like, fuck it i can't take it when i'm gone, i'm young, i'm 24, and i wanna live when i'm alive you know, and just long story short, the song is just about me living my live, and spending all my money and and living life to the fullest. you know you can't take when you're gone, and tomorrow could be your last."
