WZRD: Dr. Pill Meaning
Song Released: 2012
Dr. Pill Lyrics
-
I feel like this song can be interpreted in a couple differnet ways. One being that since Cudi is battling with depression, the pills will help bring him out, The pills are also are taking over who he is "its not me talking, even though that is my face I dont know whose face that belongs too."
Another inerpretation can be that he is looking for any type of pill to help with his head. Whether it be an anti-dreppressant to a stimulant, he just wants to stop feeling this lowness or paranoia and stay focused. -
To me it seems like Cudi quit smoking and is now taking stimulants (adderall, ritelin) to calm his mind down and allow focus. I know for a fact that waking up after crashing off these certain stimulants (amphetamine and dextroamphetamine)causes one to feel depressed and lack the ability the focus well. Or he could just be releasing a song like this for more record sales since these drugs are increasing in popularity these days. Or I could be totally wrong and he could be talking about something completely different. Regardless, I'm interested in other opinions so lemme hear them!
