Still Around Lyrics

Go ahead and burn it down
I'm drunk and so is everyone else
In this devil town
They won't let me turn around
To get one last look at my baby
While shes still around x4
Go ahead and build it up again
This cities just cemetentaries

    I think the singer's love died, and he's drinking to numb himself to the world without her. And he continues to drink, because it's the only time he can still "see her". And his friends/other love ones are trying to get him to stop, but he doesn't want to. He'll continue drinking, "while she's still around", because that's the only time he can see her.

    I think that the song is about the singers Girlfriend dying and him not being able to face the truth.

    When I listened to the song, I felt that it was "telling a sad story". I decided to look up the music video to see if it showed any "hints" as to what the song means, and I'm guessing from the music video;
    He proposed to her, she said no, he got angry with her, she became depressed and killed herself with drug overdose.

    So maybe he's singing about BEFORE she killed herself, hence "While she's still around".
    :)

    So I really feel like this song is pretty self explanatory. I feel like maybe the narrators girlfriend is leaving him because he's a drunk and needs to get a grip on reality. Or maybe he started drinking after she left. It seems pretty straightforward.
