The Collapse Lyrics
I gave it to you when you wanted it now
I know you're feeling that it's close to the end
Staring at me with your back on the ground
I know your world is in my hands
You know I pull the strings
I'd...

I thought it was about a fight the guy winning could end it and the stay down or I'll keep you down I think it means if the guy tries to get up agian he put him back on the ground and what's with all the raoe stuff BTW lay you out is a term used when youn knock someone out

It is all about control

I've always thought this song was about either one of two things. The first being rape. The lines such as " 'Cause if I want it I can take away" convinced me of this. Possibly a man trying to force his way with a woman and she doesn't want it, but she can't fight back.
The second being control. A man wants complete control over a woman that can "Pull the strings" or turn him on. He thinks that she should submit to his control and not fight back. He wants to feel pleasure his own way, even if pain is involved(I want it to bend, I want it to burn).

The song is about being in control and how you can take away anything from anybody. This song kinda turns me on in a way...haha just saying.
