Guy had sex with a co-worker from his job. He’s presumably fallen in love (perhaps) with this girl, but she’s moved on as if it never happened. And he’s like “I guess it’ll be another Monday” except it’s not.
He had begun to think things like “marriage, which is something I used to disparage,” or dislike until he met this girl. I like it how at the end, he says “what can say we say? ‘Have a nice day?’” He’s essentially forced to pretend it’s not a big deal though clearly it has by the end of the song.
