Ol' Red Lyrics
And it cost me ninety nine
On a prison farm in Georgia
Close to the Florida line
Well I'd been here for two long years
I finally made the warden my friend
And so he sentenced me to a life of...

Teehee. This song is about a guy who got arrested because his girlfriend/wife cheated on him. And he was transported to a prison farm in Georgia. He was there for two years until he came up with a plan. He secretly sent a message to his cousin, and his cousin brings a beautiful blue tick hound. He pins her up in the swamp, while Blake's character becomes the warden's friend. The warden gives him a job; taking care of Red. He takes Red down to the blue tick hound every evening. Then, he doesn't let Red see her for a few days. When the time is right, he sneaks away from the prison farm, and heads North for Tennessee. The guards release Red, but, Red goes South to see his lady, the blue tick hound. And the prisoner escapes.
