Thinking about his past if he could go back into time and change some things he did, he would. He would do his best to make better decisions, and succeed in his childhood life. All the things in life he took for granted he’d go back and change it, make it all worthwhile. Enjoy every minute of his childhood, and take advantage of all his opportunities. He would tell himself not to give up on life, because there is so much more to his life, so much more ahead of him just waiting for him to experience. Take all chances to build his education. Treat ladies with respect. And say thank you and I love you to your mom and dad every day.

This song is really realistic. When your around the age of 15-18 heartbreaks seem like the end of the world, you can't think past that week, you think everything now is the most important you'll never get over it. But in reality once you get a bit older you realize how ridiculous you were being and that you survived and better things will come your way. One of the best Brad Paisley songs.
